Dumpster Diving

The other night I was enjoying one of the greatest things created by man: a chocolate extreme blizzard. As I sat on the floor my daughter sat restlessly on my legs, like a little bird. "daddy more" "daddy more" It was pretty cool eating a blizzard with her but I had to cut her off because it was close to bed time. She really wasn't ready to stop eating though, she found the lid and licked that puppy clean. Wet wipes followed. I finished off the glorious treat and commenced vegetation mode. I caught something out the corner of my eye. It was like a scene from animal planet, you know the ones with all the scavengers circling around the carcus. Maddie was eating out of the garbage!!! She was determined to finish every little morsel. So, i called her over to tell her we didn't eat of the garbage. She sat on my lap, looked up at me with the baby blues, face covered in chocolate, like "hey dad that is some good stuff". I couldn't help but laugh. I guess it goes to show that there is something redeemable in the trash. What i thought was trash, little madster thought was treasure. I think she's on to something here. What isn't reedeemable through the grace of God?
